Rural Studio students chose the Akron Boys & Girls project with hopes of providing a supervised and positive space for Akron’s youth. Since most of the city’s adults commute to Tuscaloosa or Greensboro for work, the children are left to entertain and look after themselves for an extended period of time every day. Now the newly established Boys & Girls Club in Akron is a meeting place for residents of all ages and backgrounds.
